A friend of mine and I had stumbled upon a blog site quite recently. She was a little more impressed than I was and was quite vocal about how interesting she found the writings. One day her initial enthusiasm gave way to a slight dismay at finding out that the blogger was married.
'How does it matter' you ask me.
'I'm not sure, but it does', says me.
What's it with girls that assumes that interesting guys they come across must be eligible bachelors, even though the guy has not even a smallest inkling of their existence? Why are we on an eternal search for Mr.Right?
It doesn't matter how far removed he is from us, geographically or otherwise. It is this same feeling that makes us go sad over hearing that Darren Hayes is gay; the sane part of our mind gives us a good bonk on the nose while asking 'how does it even remotely matter where his preferences lie?'. The insane part answers dejectedly, rubbing the nose, 'how can a guy who croons insatiable so sexily be otherwise?'
'Yeah, right, like you even had a chance if he wasn't', shrugs the sane part walking away.
Something must be fundamentally wrong with the genetic makeup.

You have said it right... It is weird.
Hey, by the way, he also has a kid...:-/
I think your thought even true for Guys...Genderless Genetic problem at this age...
haha.. genetic make up.. my todayss post delas with this
Well, we are all absolute optimists. The problem, is that our optimism is the most fragile thing in the universe.
nothing wrong in the genetic make up..it is the age or the phase u r going thru....which makes u to think like that..that all mr right should be bachelor.
once u r married ,u ll think all mr right are married...
hope u got my point
@nivi
life's unfair, isn't it? ;-)
@jk
glad to know we have company in the weird world!
@chriz
yup.. saw the insight you had provided!
@hameed
can't believe my eyes. is the Shah back from hibernation??
@uma
LOL! This type of wisdom can only come from a woman who's 'been there done that' :-)
Good one!
Nah, guys have their own quirks, believe me, equally, if not more annoying, than girls.
Why is it that so many guys lose interest in talking to a girl if they find out she doesn't look like a model from a magazine?
Girls rule, guys drool and that's just the way it is.
* sheepish grin *
Hey married leaves us some hope..But gay..
Life is so unfair!
@e.c.d
you do love your commas! :-)
punctuations aside, good question! that of course means that I don't know the answer for it!
Cool tagline - girls rule, guys drool! way to go!!!
@chit
'tis.
a thing more unfair, never found!
Perhaps my multiple commas are one of my annoying guy-quirks. (O:
I have been aware, for a very long time, of the veracity of that tagline I used. Girls do better than boys in everything that matters, everything but feats of brute strength.
The only reason why Women haven't achieved more in the past was simply because men held Them back by brute force, or by lame traditionS backed up by force.
Take that away and you get Women excelling everywhere, outnumbering guys in college, running successful businesses, leaving guys in the dust.
we all like to create this picture perfect image of the object of our desire and we sure do like to tweak this image to suit our preferences! ;-)
e.c.d
I must say, well well well! * grins widely *
your convictions sound very inspiring!
I like to think that much problems and 'holding-back's arose with trying to compare boys and girls. It's a case of apples and oranges.. each is sweet in its own way!
maddie
you're right. it's when reality clashes with our images the heartbreaks come in. reality really truly bites!
Or perhaps coconuts to bananas. One is tough and hairy, not so good for your heart, and likes to float around aimlessly on the sea -- and you either like it or you hate it.
The other is sweet, soft, colorful and easily bruised but full of vitamins and incredibly important for the sustenance of humankind.
that's a very original and fresh comparison ECD! :-) it all boils down to how we look at 'em!
